CTDUT is an open, non-profit private association. It is a Technology Centre specializing in pipelines and terminals. Its activities began in 2004 with a strong partnership with academia, industry and the entire Brazilian pipeline community. With our facilities and experience, we operate in RD&I, technical consultancy, auditing, technical services and personnel training (training and certification of people).
CTDUT offers full-scale laboratory facilities with the flexibility to develop bespoke benches and laboratories, with a track record of more than 20 years in full-scale development projects, staff training and consultancy. We have established a comprehensive network of pipeline professionals, researchers and institutions to provide integrated solutions for the development of pipeline technologies. In addition, we are certified by the ANP (National Oil and Gas Agency) as a strategic infrastructure qualified to carry out projects funded by the RD&I clause.
CTDUT is located in Brazil, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in the main industrial center of Duque de Caxias, the Campos Elíseos Petrochemical Complex.
To be a hub for integration between companies, universities and research centers, with a view to strengthening and improving the competitiveness of the goods and services industry in the national and international pipeline and terminal system:
Research and develop new design techniques and/or technologies, materials, equipment and products, methodologies and testing methods for the pipeline and terminal system, with the participation of companies, research institutions and universities, with a view to their transfer and/or use.
Foster, support and encourage initiatives by universities and institutions aimed at developing applied research in the area of pipelines.
To provide technical advice to those working or conducting research in their areas of technological competence.
Promote the training of people for specialized and certified work.
Maintaining a database of research and publications, a collection of studies and theses, meetings and lectures by academics and researchers in the pipeline sector, and full-scale laboratory facilities in order to test, evaluate and certify products, equipment and procedures used in pipeline networks and terminals, with the participation of companies, research institutions and universities.
To train, qualify and certify specialized personnel, at secondary, technical, higher education and postgraduate levels, in the areas of design, construction, operation, inspection and maintenance of pipeline transport systems.
Motivate and promote the creation of new technology-based companies in the area in which it operates.
